2024 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

This mandatory North Dakota continuing education course is designed to deepen your understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion and how these practices can impact your business and clients. You deal with diverse customers and clients. Would you ever decide on your own what kind of house a buyer client needs and then refuse to find them any other kind of house? Of course not! However, if you can recognize your own biases, listen to your client, and learn about their needs that you might not have anticipated, you can help them find exactly what they want. This mandatory North Dakota continuing education course is designed to deepen licensees’ understanding of the nuances of fraud and how it can impact their business and clients. Understanding the definition of fraud and its effect on the real estate sector will help licensees recognize and prevent fraudulent activities. The ability to identify and address fraud protects clients and upholds the high ethical standards expected of real estate professionals.

This course provides three hours of CE for all North Dakota salespersons, broker associates, and brokers who want to renew as active for the calendar year 2026.

State Requirements For North Dakota

North Dakota State Requirement Details for Real Estate Broker Continuing Education

Renewal Date: Licenses expire on December 31st of each year.  CE must be completed by November 15th of each year.

Current CE Cycle - November 16, 2024 through November 15, 2025

Hours Required by the State: 12 hours

  • 6 hours on 2024-2025 mandatory topics
    • 3 hours on diversity, equity, and inclusion
    • 3 hours on vacant property and other real estate scams and frauds
  • 6 hours on elective topics

Note: There is no grace period to complete required CE. If required CE is not completed by November 15, 2025, Licensees must renew as inactive for 2026 to avoid potential disciplinary action. If the licensee renews as inactive due to late completion of CE, the licensee can transfer the license to active effective January 1, 2026, or later, provided CE is completed.

Brokers newly licensed after Nov. 15, 2024 – If new brokers passed the broker license exam this CE cycle, they are exempt from CE requirement for this CE cycle.
