2024 ND Broker Mandatory Course - Broker Responsibility
This North Dakota Broker course is designed to deepen broker licensees' comprehension of pivotal state laws and regulations. Brokers are responsible for ensuring that they and their brokerage team members comply with these requirements. The course explores these responsibilities that cover such diverse areas as the protection of funds that have been entrusted to them by others, office management, and monitoring the brokerage's advertising to comply with state rules. The course will empower brokers with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of real estate transactions and related requirements with confidence and expertise.

State Requirements For North Dakota
North Dakota State Requirement Details for Real Estate Broker Continuing Education
Renewal Date: Licenses expire on December 31st of each year. CE must be completed by November 15th of each year.
Current CE Cycle - November 16, 2024 through November 15, 2025
Hours Required by the State: 12 hours
- 6 hours on 2024-2025 mandatory topics
- 3 hours on diversity, equity, and inclusion
- 3 hours on vacant property and other real estate scams and frauds
- 6 hours on elective topics
Note: There is no grace period to complete required CE. If required CE is not completed by November 15, 2025, Licensees must renew as inactive for 2026 to avoid potential disciplinary action. If the licensee renews as inactive due to late completion of CE, the licensee can transfer the license to active effective January 1, 2026, or later, provided CE is completed.
Brokers newly licensed after Nov. 15, 2024 – If new brokers passed the broker license exam this CE cycle, they are exempt from CE requirement for this CE cycle.
